What is Vertinab? Vertinab gives your business a team of specialist AI assistants — one for Legal, one for Finance, one for HR, and many more. You type your question in plain English and the agent replies instantly, like a knowledgeable colleague who is always available.

This guide explains the three ways to use Vertinab. Pick the one that suits your business, follow the steps, and you will be up and running in minutes.

Option 1 — Cloud (Browser)

Use instantly in your browser · No installation · Works on any device

What this means in plain English: Think of it like Gmail or Google Docs. You open a website, log in, and your AI agents are ready immediately. Nothing is installed on your computer. Works on your phone, laptop, or tablet. You can start within 60 seconds.

Click the button below to open the Vertinab website You will see the Vertinab homepage in your browser.

Click "Start free trial" and create your account Enter your name, work email address, and a password. No credit card needed for the 14-day trial.

Choose an AI agent from the dashboard You will see a list of agents — Legal, Finance, HR, Marketing, and more. Click "Open" on any agent to start chatting.

Type your question and press Enter Write your question in plain English — just as you would send a WhatsApp message. The agent replies in seconds.

(Optional) Attach a document for the agent to read Click the 📎 paperclip icon to upload a PDF, Word, Excel, or CSV file. The agent will read it and answer questions about it.

Option 2 — Desktop App

Included in all plans · Mac & Windows · Works offline with Local AI

What this means in plain English: Like Microsoft Word or Excel — you download it once and it lives on your computer. It is included at no extra cost in every Vertinab plan (Starter, Professional, and Business). If you turn on Local AI, your conversations never leave your device — no data goes to the cloud, and there are no monthly message limits.
HOW TO INSTALL ON A MAC

Click the macOS download button below Choose Apple Silicon if your Mac is an M1, M2, M3, or M4 (bought 2020 or later). Choose Intel if it is an older Mac. The file downloads to your Downloads folder.

Open the downloaded .dmg file Double-click the .dmg file. A window opens showing the Vertinab icon. Drag it into your Applications folder.

Bypass macOS security (one-time step) macOS will block the app the first time with a message saying "Vertinab Not Opened". This is normal for apps not yet on the Mac App Store. Follow the fix below.
⚠️ macOS Security — "Vertinab Not Opened" message macOS Gatekeeper blocks the app because it is not yet Apple-notarised. To open it, follow one of these two methods:

Method A — System Settings (easiest):
1. Click Done on the warning dialog.
2. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
3. Scroll down until you see "Vertinab was blocked".
4. Click Open Anyway and enter your Mac password.

Method B — Terminal command:
Open the Terminal app and paste this command, then press Enter:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Vertinab.app
Then double-click Vertinab to open normally. You only need to do this once.

Sign in with your Vertinab account Use the same email and password as the cloud version. If you do not have an account yet, click "Sign up free" on the login screen or visit the website first.

(Optional) Switch to Local AI for offline and unlimited use Download Ollama from ollama.com/download — it is free. Then in the Vertinab desktop app, click the green/blue dot in the bottom-left sidebar → click the ⚙ settings icon → choose "Local AI" → click "Install a model" → select Llama 3.2 (Fast, 2 GB) → click Download. Once installed, your AI runs entirely on your computer with no message limits.
HOW TO INSTALL ON WINDOWS

Click the Windows download button below A file called Vertinab_0.3.0_x64-setup.exe will download to your Downloads folder.

Run the installer Double-click the .exe file. If Windows asks "Do you want to allow this app to make changes?" click Yes. The installer runs and Vertinab appears on your desktop and Start menu.

Open Vertinab and sign in Double-click the Vertinab icon on your desktop and sign in with your account.

(Optional) Switch to Local AI Same as Mac — download Ollama from ollama.com/download, then install a model inside the Vertinab app settings for offline, unlimited use.

💡 Good to know
  • The desktop app is included at no extra cost in all plans — Starter, Professional, and Business.
  • If your cloud plan's message limit is reached, the desktop app will also stop until you upgrade — both run on the same account.
  • Switch to Local AI (Ollama) to remove message limits and work fully offline.
  • Local AI conversations never leave your computer — complete privacy.
  • You can attach documents (PDF, Word, Excel, CSV) in the desktop app — click the 📎 icon in the chat.
  • Your account syncs between Cloud and Desktop — one login, everything in one place.

Option 3 — Enterprise (Self-Hosted)

Installed on your organisation's own servers · Full data control · Custom branding

What this means in plain English: Your IT team installs Vertinab inside your own building or private cloud. All data stays within your organisation — nothing goes to Vertinab's servers. This is the version used by hospitals, banks, government agencies, and law firms where data must never leave their own systems. You can also replace the Vertinab name and logo with your own branding.
HOW THE PROCESS WORKS

Contact the Vertinab sales team Click the button below to send an enquiry. Tell us your organisation name, how many staff will use it, and what type of data you handle. We will respond within one business day.

We send you an installation package and licence key You will receive a Docker setup package (a self-contained bundle your IT team can run) and a unique licence key that unlocks your installation.

Your IT team runs one command to install Your IT team copies the installation files to your server and runs a single command. The whole system — AI platform, database, and web interface — starts automatically. Takes about 30 minutes.

Your IT team invites staff via the admin panel The admin panel lets your IT administrator add or remove users, set roles (admin or member), and see a full audit log of who did what and when.

Staff access via their browser on your internal network Once installed, all staff use Vertinab by visiting a web address on your internal network (e.g. ai.yourcompany.com). No installation needed on individual computers.
